The Malaysian Association of Hong Kong was established more than 25 years ago by a group of Malaysian professionals residing in Hong Kong. Today, we have about 1,000 members comprised of mostly business and professional persons. We hold weekly gatherings as well as many special events.

We are a group for all Malaysians residing in Hong Kong, who have formed a society to encourage fellowship among Malaysians, promote Malaysian culture and values and generaly to have fun. If you are Malaysian, or if you would like to know more about Malaysia, we look forward to meeting you at one of our weekly gatherings.

Glittering Malaysia - 2010 Merdeka Ball   The 53rd Merdeka Ball with the theme of "Glittering Malaysia" will be held on Saturday, 4 September 2010 at the Ballroom, Island Shangrila, Hong Kong. Deadline for Membership Drive and Early Bird Discount extended to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 24 August 2010 Membership Drive For members who have fully paid up their 2010 membership renewals or for new members joining the Association who have paid their entrance fee and annual fee for 2010 by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 24 August 2010, they will be entitled to an early bird discount of $200 for their individual Ball tickets which are priced at $900 each for a regular ticket. - For the Membership Form, please click "JOIN US". Early Bird Discount on Ball Ticket The early bird ticket will be $700 per ticket for each member. You will have to provide your current membership number for issue of the ticket. Strictly, the form with cheques for the early bird tickets should reach Miss CHEW Mee Lee of 19/F., Cheung Kong Centre, 2 Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 24 August 2010. BADMINTON   Badminton sessions have been booked for members of the Malaysian Association by Miss Ada Chen (telephone 9711 7815) on the following dates and times: Saturday 7 August 2010 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Badminton Court No. 2 Saturday 28 August 2010 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Badminton Court No. 2 Venue: R floor Badminton Courts Heng Fa Chuen Club House Heng Fa Chuen Paradise Mall 100 Shing Tai Road Hong Kong.     How to get there: Take the MTR on the Chaiwan Line to Heng Fa Chuen Or take CITY Bus 85 from North Point and alight at Heng Fa Chuen.     Please call Ada Chen if you are interested in joining the badminton sessions on the above dates.

Members of the Malaysian Association meet every Friday at the Lobby Lounge of the (5-Star) JW Marriott Hotel, Pacific Place between 6:00 and 9.00 pm. Everyone is welcome. There is NO happy hour, if Friday falls on a public holiday.

Drinks cost about HK$80 (including tax and service charge).

How to Get there by MTR:
Get off at the Admiralty station on the Island line. Take the Pacific Place (F) Exit. Ride the escalators in Pacific Place to the upper floor and look for the sign that marks the main entrance for the JW Marriott Hotel. Go to the lobby lounge and ask the waitress for the Malaysian Association.
